Credits and subscriptions
How credits work, what each plan includes, monthly vs yearly billing, and the watermark rules. Credits never expire.

Modelon runs on credits. One credit = one generated image at standard (2K) resolution. Bumping a generation to XL (4K) costs 2 credits per image.
What's included free
Every new account gets 5 credits at sign-up — no payment method required. Enough to fully explore the product on a few real garments.
Free-tier images are watermarked (a tiled Modelon logo at 20% opacity) both in the app preview and in any downloaded file. Subscribing removes the watermark from every past and future image automatically.
Plans
Three tiers, two billing intervals. Yearly is ~24% cheaper than monthly — pick the one that matches how committed you are.

Subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each billing period (every month or every year). Upgrade, downgrade, switch interval, or cancel anytime from Billing → Manage subscription (opens the Stripe Customer Portal). Switching mid-cycle is prorated by Stripe.
Why yearly drips credits monthly
Yearly customers pay upfront but don't get a year's credits all at once — credits arrive monthly, same allowance as the equivalent monthly tier. This keeps unused credits flowing in at a predictable cadence instead of dropping a year-sized lump that's easy to forget about.
What happens to unused credits at renewal
Credits never expire. Anything you don't use this cycle simply carries over to the next one and stacks with the new grant — there's no cap, no monthly burn-down, no "use it or lose it" deadline.
Example: you're on Growth (55/mo) and only use 10 this month. Next month you start with 45 carried over + 55 fresh = 100 credits, all available. Skip a busy month entirely and you'll start the next with 110. The balance just accumulates until you spend it — even across plan changes.
If you cancel your subscription, your remaining balance stays in your account. Resubscribe later and it's still there.

Refunds for failed generations
If a generation fails on our end (engine error, garment couldn't be analyzed, etc.), the credits are refunded automatically to your balance — usually within a minute of the failure. You don't need to file anything.
Watermarks
- Free users → all generated images carry the tiled Modelon logo, both in the app and in downloads.
- Subscribers → watermarks are stripped everywhere the moment the subscription becomes active. If you downgrade or cancel later, watermarks return on the next page load.
That's the whole pricing model — no enterprise sales calls, no hidden seat fees, no per-export charges.
