Topping up credits
One-time credit packs — $17 / $45 / $75 — for when you run out mid-cycle without changing your subscription.

If you run out of credits before your subscription renews — or just need extra capacity without bumping up to a higher plan — top-ups are a one-time purchase that adds credits to your balance instantly.
Subscribers only. Top-ups are a subscriber bonus. You'll see the section on the Billing page either way, but the Buy buttons unlock once you have an active subscription. New on Modelon? Pick a plan first — Starter is $19/mo.
The three packs
Bigger packs cost slightly less per credit, but every pack is more expensive per credit than your subscription rate — top-ups are a convenience premium, not a way to game the pricing.

Buy at Billing under the Top up credits section. Stripe Checkout handles payment; credits land in your account the moment Stripe confirms (usually a few seconds).
How top-up credits behave
- Never expire. Sit in your balance until you spend them, even across subscription downgrades or cancellations. (Same policy as subscription credits — nothing in your balance ever burns down.)
- Stack with your subscription balance. Top-ups simply add to whatever you already have. There's no separate bucket and nothing to track.
- Refunded on failed generations. If a generation fails on our end, the cost is refunded to your balance within a minute.
Top up vs upgrade your plan
Quick decision guide:
- One-off surge (e.g. shooting a single drop) → top up. No commitment, no contract change, no surprise rebill.
- Sustained higher usage (you ran out two months in a row) → upgrade your plan. The per-credit rate on Growth/Scale is dramatically cheaper than top-up rate ($0.75-$0.89 yearly vs $1.25-$1.70 top-up), and the credits keep arriving automatically each cycle.
You can absolutely combine both — a higher-tier subscription with occasional top-ups when a busy month outpaces your monthly grant.
What if I don't have a subscription?
The Buy buttons are locked until you subscribe to a plan. Subscribe via Billing — Starter starts at $19/mo (billed yearly) or $25/mo on monthly billing, both with 20 credits/month, and unlocks top-ups immediately. Trialing subscriptions count too.
If you're a free-tier user just trying to do a one-off shoot without committing to a recurring plan, top-ups aren't the right path. Use your 5 sign-up credits, watermarked.
Need to cancel a top-up?
Top-ups are processed instantly so we can't pause them, but a refund is straightforward — email info@modelon.ai within 7 days of purchase and we'll refund the unused portion (subscription credits used before unused top-up credits, so an immediate refund request usually gets the full amount back).
