How Modelon Studio works

Place an order, ship your garments to our studio, and we'll photograph them — front and back — straight into your Library.

Updated June 15, 2026

Modelon Studio is our in-house flat-lay photography service for sellers who don't have product photos yet — or want a consistent studio look across an entire range without buying gear and renting space.

The flow end-to-end

  1. Place an order. Tell us how many garments you have, pay through Stripe Checkout. You'll get an email with the intake address.
  2. Ship to the studio. Pack the garments and ship them to the address shown on your order page. Include a slip with your order number inside the box.
  3. We photograph. Once your shipment arrives, we shoot the front and back of every garment on a consistent studio surface, with even lighting. Turnaround is 3 business days from intake.
  4. Photos land in your Library. Each garment becomes a Library Item with both photos attached — instantly ready for the on-model generator.

You can check status anytime under Library → Orders, or in the email updates we send at each milestone.

How your photos are delivered

Every image is shot and delivered to a consistent spec:

  • Format: JPEG
  • Resolution: 2048 × 2048 px
  • Aspect ratio: 1:1 (square)
  • Background: pure white

Square, pure-white JPEGs meet the product-image requirements of most third-party marketplaces — Amazon, Shopify, Etsy and more — so the photos are ready to list as-is, with no resizing or background editing. They also drop straight into your Library for generating on-model shots.

What you can ship

  • Tops (tees, shirts, polos, sweatshirts, hoodies, light outerwear)
  • Bottoms (jeans, pants, joggers, shorts, skirts)
  • Footwear (sneakers, boots, dress shoes — single shot per pair)

If you have a garment that doesn't suit flat-lay (complex draping, accessories, etc.), email info@modelon.ai first and we'll advise.

What we can't promise

  • We don't currently ship garments back automatically — they're stored safely at the studio. If you want a return, email info@modelon.ai and we'll arrange it at your cost.
  • Heavily damaged or unphotographable items will be flagged and refunded.

When you get notified

  • Order placed — confirmation email with the intake address and shipping checklist.
  • Garments received — we've opened your shipment and started production.
  • Completed — photos are in your Library; you can start generating on-model shots immediately.

Status changes also show up live on the order detail page (Library → Orders → click any order).
